Prostate Awareness Bermuda is a support group for men and has as its mission “to provide support to men who have issues related to the prostate including but not limited to, being diagnosed, being treated or are rehabilitating from a prostate related condition. This could be prostatic cancer or BPH which is benign prostatic hyperplasia or commonly known as an enlarged prostate. The Group, which has approximately 25 members, meets once a month: presently on the second Thursday at the Blue Water Anglers Club. Providing an opportunity to discuss men’s health in a safe and judgement- free forum. It offers participants the opportunity to meet like-minded persons and share concerns related to the promulgation of Men’s health. PAB intends as we develop to become an advocate for equal treatment for men’s health in addition to our support role. Government has a declared statement of having data driven policy development. But, what about when feet develop a problem in their intricate network of bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, blood vessels, and nerves? In this episode of Best Health we speak to podiatrist, Natalie Bennett of Arches Podiatry, about the specialised care and therapy for your feet and all that is connected to them.
Natalie Bennett has been a podiatrist for nearly 30 years. She graduated in 1994 with a podiatry degree following a residency at Gosford Hospital in Sydney, Australia. In the early 2000s, Natalie completed a Master’s Degree in Health Management and Health Policy. During this time, she was also Area Director of Podiatry services for the Central and South Western Sydney regions, including nine hospitals and health centres.
In 2010, Natalie was invited to work in Bermuda. At this practice, she developed a strong reputation as a dedicated podiatrist providing foot care services, especially the long-term care of individuals with diabetic foot conditions. Natalie has been an active board member for both the Bermuda Diabetes Association Board and the Bermuda Podiatry Board.

Angela Hovi, one of Bermuda’s biggest supporters of women through the postpartum period is here to guide us through the physical and mental realities new parents face.
Angela is both a personal trainer with a focus on pregnancy and postpartum fitness, as well as the founder of Beyond Blue – a support group for mums with baby blues, depression, anxiety and stress.
During her own pregnancies and postpartum periods, Angela found it difficult to find reliable, evidence-based information on how to continue and return to exercise, and so 10 years ago, retrained as a PT – now passing on her research on postpartum fitness and recovery to private clients and group classes.
During her two pregnancies, Angela also suffered with postpartum depression and anxiety. Not wanting other women to feel alone as new mothers, Angela teamed up with MAMA Bermuda to start Beyond Blue in 2015 – offering support to those suffering with PPD.
