Everton defenders starting to pick up points

In the past week, Southampton and Wolves parted ways with head coaches Russell Martin and Gary O’Neil respectively. Their departures mark the third and fourth managerial casualties of this campaign.

Fantasy managers have some difficult selection choices for the coming weeks. Everton defenders Ashley Young and Vitalii Mykolenko are strong contenders for selection as the Toffees have kept four clean sheets in their last five games.

Saturday

Aston Villa v Manchester City (8.30am)

Aston Villa lost at Nottingham Forest to cancel out consecutive wins. Jacob Ramsey is out with a hamstring injury, while Leon Bailey is doubtful with a minor hamstring strain.

Manchester City have won only one of their last 11 games in all competitions after giving up a lead to lose the Manchester derby. Nathan Ake, Oscar Bobb and Rodri remain out for the champions, while Manuel Akanji is doubtful with a pelvic injury.

Prediction: 1-1

Brentford v Nottingham Forest (11am)

Brentford were narrowly beaten at Chelsea but they remain unbeaten at home with the best record in the top flight. Rico Henry, Aaron Hickey, Joshua Dasilva, Mathias Jensen and Gustavo Nunes will miss the match.

Forest are into the top four after victory over Midlands neighbours Aston Villa. Danilo and Ibrahim Sangare are out with ankle and hamstring injuries, while Murillo and Ryan Yates are doubtful

Prediction: 2-3

Ipswich Town v Newcastle United (11am)

Jack Taylor scored his first Premier League goal to lift Ipswich to a vital away win over Wolves on Saturday. Liam Delap is suspended for picking up five yellow cards, while Axel Tuanzebe, Chiedozie Ogbene and George Hirst are out withi njury.

Newcastle destroyed Leicester in their last match and picked upr their third home clean sheet of the season. Joelinton is suspended, while Nick Pope, Sven Botman, Emil Krafth, Jamaal Lascelles and Callum Wilson are out.

Prediction: 2-1

West Ham United v Brighton & Hove Albion (11am)

West Ham took a solid point at Bournemouth on Monday to stay seven points clear of the relegation zone. Carlos Soler is suspended, while Michail Antonio is out with a leg injury.

Brighton have taken just two wins from their last eight league matches after the home derby defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday. Adam Webster, Ferdi Kadioglu, James Milner, Joel Veltman, Jack Hinshelwood, Solly March, Matt O’Riley and Danny Welbeck are doubtful.

Prediction: 1-1

Crystal Palace v Arsenal (1.30pm)

Crystal Palace are unbeaten in their last five games, including draws with champions Manchester City and Aston Villa. Daniel Munoz is suspended and Matheus Franca and Adam Wharton are out with groin injuries. Joel Ward, Franco Umeh-Chibueze and Chadi Riad are doubtful.

Arsenal suffered a blow to their title push in the goalless home draw with Everton. Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White are out to knee injuries this match, while Oleksandr Zinchenko, Riccardo Calafiori and Declan Rice are doubtful.

Prediction: 1-2

Sunday

Everton v Chelsea (10am)

Everton held out for a valuable draw at Arsenal to extend their good run to just one defeat in five games. Armando Broja cannot face his parent club to league loan rules, while James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam are out to back and foot injuries respectively. Youssef Chermiti and Dwight McNeil are doubtful to injury and lack of fitness.

Chelsea are on a seven-game winning streak in all competitions and sit just two points behind leaders Liverpool after edging past Brentford last Sunday. Marc Cucurella is suspended and Reece James, Wesley Fofana and Omari Kellyman are out injured. Benoit Badiashile and Mykhailo Mudryk are doubtful to injury and illness.

Prediction: 0-2

Fulham v Southampton (10am)

Fulham managed a point at Liverpool despite being a man up for more than 70 minutes at Anfield last weekend. Andreas Pereira is suspended, with Joachim Andersen, Reiss Nelson and Harrison Reed out to injury. Kenny Tete is doubtful.

Southampton are on the search for a new head coach after their thumping home defeat to Tottenham spelled the end for coach Russell Martin. Jack Stephens serves the last match of his suspension, while Aaron Ramsdale, Gavin Bazunu, Juan Larios Lopez, Will Smallbone and Ross Stewart are out.

Prediction: 3-0

Leicester City v Wolverhampton Wanderers (10am)

Leicester suffered their first major setback under Ruud van Nistelrooy in the heavy loss at Newcastle last weekend. Jakub Stolarczyk, Ricardo Pereira, Wilfried Ndidi and Abdul Fatawu are out through injury this match, while Harry Winks and Mads Hermansen are doubtful.

Wolves were narrowly beaten at home by rivals Ipswich in their last game under Gary O’Neil, and they are four points from safety. Rayan Ait-Nouri is suspended to a second bookable offence, while Jose Sa, Yerson Mosquera, Boubacar Traore, Enso Gonzalez, Pablo Sarabia and Sasa Kalajdzic are out injured.

Prediction: 1-0

Manchester United v Bournemouth (10am)

Manchester United came from behind to snatch the Manchester derby, with Amad Diallo involved in both critical goals. Luke Shaw is out with a muscle injury, while Jonny Evans, Noussair Mazraoui and Mason Mount are doubtful.

Bournemouth striker Enes Unal scored a stunning free kick to earn the Cherries a home draw with West Ham on Monday. Marcos Senesi, Julian Araujo, Alex Scott, Luis Sinisterra and Marcus Tavernier are out through injury.

Prediction: 2-0

Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool (12.30pm)

Tottenham thrashed Southampton on Sunday to move back into the top half of the table. Rodrigo Bentancur remains suspended and Guglielmo Vicario, Ben Davies, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Mikey Moore, Wilson Odobert and Richarlison are out to injury and illness, while Destiny Udogie is doubtful with a knock.

Liverpool were held to a draw by Fulham after being down to ten men for more than 75 minutes. Conor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate are out to hamstring and knee injuries, while Konstantinos Tsimikas is .
