Arsenal stars worth a look in double gameweek

Premier League action continues with another double gameweek as a result of the FA Cup semi-finals next weekend.

Fantasy managers should be strategic with their choices, so the returning Bukayo Saka and in-form Mikel Merino are worthy options as Arsenal take on Ipswich and Crystal Palace this round.

Saturday

Brentford v Brighton & Hove Albion (11am)

Brentford claimed a strong draw at Arsenal last week, with Yoane Wissa cancelling out Thomas Partey’s goal. Josh Dasilva, Fabio Carvalho and Igor Thiago will miss this match through injury, while Aaron Hickey is doubtfu.

Brighton were held to a home draw by struggling Leicester last week, despite taking the lead twice. Jason Steele, Igor Julio, Tariq Lamptey, Joel Veltman, Adam Webster, Ferdi Kadioglu, James Milner and Georginio Rutter are all out, while Kaoru Mitoma is doubtful.

Prediction: 2-2

Crystal Palace v Bournemouth (11am)

Crystal Palace were well beaten by Manchester City last week but all their Easter eggs may be in the FA Cup basket. Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure remain out to knee injuries, while Matt Turner and Romain Esse are doubtful.

Bournemouth got just their second win in ten league games over Fulham on Monday. Ryan Christie and Enes Unal are out injured, while Luis Sinisterra and Justin Kluivert are doubtful.

Prediction: 2-1

Everton v Manchester City (11am)

Everton beat Nottingham Forest last week, with Abdoulaye Doucoure scoring the lone goal in stoppage time. Jesper Lindstrom, Orel Mangala and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are out injured for the Toffees.

Manchester City came back into contention to qualify for their fifteenth consecutive Champions League campaign with a comeback victory over Crystal Palace. Manuel Akanji, Nathan Ake, John Stones, Rodri and Erling Haaland are out injured. Ederson and Phil Foden are doubtful.

Prediction: 1-1

West Ham United v Southampton (11am)

West Ham conceded a late winner at Anfield last week and Crysencio Summerville and Michail Antonio remain on the sidelines.

Southampton are officially relegated and collapsed to concede three late goals at home to Aston Villa last match. Charlie Taylor is doubtful with a hip injury.

Prediction: 1-0

Aston Villa v Newcastle United (1.30pm)

Aston Villa were knocked out of the Champions League despite beating PSG at home in midweek. Leon Bailey is doubtful.

Newcastle beat Manchester United 4-1 to climb into fifth spot with six games remaining before their match against Crystal Palace last night. Sven Botman, Lewis Hall and Jamaal Lascelles will miss this match through injury.

Prediction: 0-2

Sunday

Fulham v Chelsea (10am)

Fulham failed to score away from home for the first time in the league this season in the defeat at Bournemouth. Reiss Nelson is out with a hamstring injury, while Harry Wilson is doubtful.

Chelsea came from behind to draw at home with Ipswich but have just four wins in their last ten league games. Mykhailo Mudryk is still suspended and Wesley Fofana and Omari Kellyman are injured. Marc Guiu and Romeo Lavia are doubtful.

Prediction: 1-1

Ipswich Town v Arsenal (10am)

Ipswich could not hang on to a two-goal lead at Chelsea and must win their last six games to stand a realistic chance of staying up. Arijanet Muric, Wes Burns, Sammie Szmodics and Chiedozie Ogbene are out injured, while Omari Hutchinson, Jaden Philogene and Kalvin Phillips are doubtful.

Arsenal will have their main focus on the Champions League after beating Real Madrid yesterday. Gabriel Magalhaes, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Riccardo Calafiori, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz are out injured, while Ben White, Jorginho and Thomas Partey are doubtful.

Prediction: 2-1

Manchester United v Wolverhampton Wanderers (10am)

Manchester United are in the semi-finals of the Europa League after beating Lyon on Thursday. Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martinez, Amad Diallo, Joshua Zirkzee and Toby Collyer are out injured, while Matthijs de Ligt is doubtful.

Wolves are now three points behind their hosts after beating Tottenham last Sunday. Yerson Mosquera, Pedro Lima, Enso Gonzalez, Leon Chiwome and Sasa Kalajdzic are injured. Matt Doherty and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde are doubtful.

Prediction: 2-2

Leicester City v Liverpool (12.30pm)

Leicester are now 17 points from safety despite drawing at Brighton and defeat this week could confirm their relegation. Abdul Fatawu remains out with a knee injury, while Wout Faes and Jeremy Manga are doubtful.

Liverpool can clinch the league title here if Arsenal lose at Ipswich. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez are out with ankle and hamstring injuries this weekend.

Prediction: 0-2

Monday, April 21

Tottenham Hotspur v Nottingham Forest (4pm)

Tottenham will be without Radu Dragusin and Kevin Danso, while Son Heung-Min is doubtful.

Forest are losing their grip on hopes of a first Champions League campaign in over four decades after the home loss to Brighton last week. Ola Aina is out with a calf injury this week, while Taiwo Awoniyi is doubtful.

Prediction: 1-2

Tuesday, April 22

Manchester City v Aston Villa (4pm)

City will miss Nathan Ake, Manuel Akanji, John Stones, Rodri and Erling Haaland remain out injured, with Ederson and Phil Foden doubtful.

Villa forward Leon Bailey remains doubtful with a knock.

Prediction: 2-1

Wednesday, April 2

Arsenal v Crystal Palace (4pm)

Arsenal will miss Gabriel Magalhaes, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Riccardo Calafiori, Gabriel Jesus, and Kai Havertz this match, with Jorginho, Ben White and Thomas Partey doubtful.

Crystal Palace have Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure out to knee injuries this match, with Matt Turner and Romain Esse doubtful.

Prediction: 3-1
