Bermuda’s Under 12 national team were crowned champions at the recent Tri Nations Mini Rugby competition in the Bahamas.Steve Robb’s side defeated the hosts five tries to one in the final, having crushed Cayman Islands 45-5 earlier in the day.The Islanders 23-man squad spent six weeks training at the National Sports Centre and Somersfield Academy in preparation for their first international tournament.They have also been part of the Beyond Rugby Programme, which was launched by ex-pro wrestler John Layfield and Bermuda Rugby Football Union youth development officer Patrick Callow.
