Jamin Hodgkins included in Canada rugby squad
Jamin Hodgkins has been named in the Canada provisional squad for the La Vila International Rugby Cup in Villajoyosa, Spain.
Hodgkins, a former Warwick Academy student who has represented Bermuda at under-19 level, was named among a list of 43 players that will be whittled down to a 32-man travelling squad set to play two matches at the four-team tournament next month.
Canada will play against Spain at El Pantano Stadium on November 11, before taking on either the United States or Brazil in the final or third-place play-off, depending on results the following weekend.
“This week we are holding integrated training sessions which will be a great collaborative and competitive opportunity for players as we near our departure to Villajoyosa,” said head coach Kingsley Jones on the national team’s website.
“Our players are hungry to return to international competition and eagerly await our meeting with Spain.”
