Clarien Iron Kids Triathlon postponed due to adverse weather forecast
For the safety of participants and guests, the 33rd Annual Clarien Iron Kids Triathlon and Carnival has been postponed because of inclement weather.
Early kit pick up and all activities have also been cancelled, with a tentatively rescheduled date of September 16 pencilled in for the event.
The Clarien Iron Kids Triathlon and Carnival is a community-driven event hosted by Clarien Bank in partnership with the Bermuda Triathlon Association. Both organisations are committed to providing a safe event for the triathletes and their families.
“Safety is of utmost importance to us,” said Steven Petty, president of the Bermuda Triathlon Association. “With the current weather forecast, it was imperative that we put the kids and community first in our decision to postpone.”
Those sentiments were echoed by Michael DeCouto, Clarien’s chief digital and marketing officer.
“Although we must postpone in the interest of safety, we thank the community for your continued support and look forward to welcoming everyone soon!,” he said.
