Saltus seal Schools Relay Classic title haul

Malik Paynter, Saejhor Dent, Rajee Knight-Rowling and Christian Pine delivered the boys middle school title for Saltus in 48.39sec, while Paynter, Dent, Knight-Rowling were also part of the team that took the boys 1,600 metres middle school title where they were joined by Declan Reardon, finishing in 3min 57.41sec.
Jade Grant, S’nya Cumbermack, Avani Patton and Lelani Peters did wrapped up the haul by finishing first in the girls 1600m high school race in 4:19.31.
A time of 51.74 was enough for Aaralyn, Jayla Peets-Butterfield, Azari Easton and Jahstice Grant to win the girls’ 400m high school title for The Berkeley Institute.
CedarBridge, with a team made up of Tajahri Rogers, Jason Simons, Keezai Cann and Jalen Richardson, won the boys 400m high school race in a time of 44.86. CedarBridge also took the honours in the boys 1600m in 3:37.38, with Rogers and Simons teaming up with Daiquant Trott and Tajer Basden.
Sandys Secondary were the winners of the girls 1600m middle school race in 4:21.41, with Kelise Wade, Azari Jones, Zakhya Scott and Saniya Place making up the team.
Kimora Richardson, Zyari Lawrence, Myari Trott and Kalila Daley helped Whitney Institute take home the girls 400m middle school title in a time of 53.42.
Purvis clinched the boys 400m primary school race in 59.64 and landed the boys 1600m primary school title in 5:01:53.
Meanwhile, Harrington Sound also proved triumphant in both the girls 400m primary school race, as well as in the girls 1600m primary schools event.
Prospect won the boys 25m preschool event, while the corresponding girls event was taken by Warwick preschool.
The event also included two Special Olympics races with Yenisey Mallory the winner of the girls 100m and Jahziah Douglas successful over the same distance for boys.
