Dage Minors becomes England Road Relay champion

Runner Dage Minors is celebrating a national title after forming part of the successful team in the English Road Running Association’s Road Relay Championship on Saturday.

Minors was part of the victorious 12-man Bristol West Athletics Club team in the race, which involved every member of the squad running a 5.08km lap in Sutton Park, Birmingham.

The Bermudian ran the third leg, completing his lap in 15min 22sec, the third-fastest of 67 runners, to help his team beat 63 others.

The Bristol West A team recorded a cumulative time of 3:02:35 to take the gold medal by 22 seconds from Highgate Harriers, with Cambridge & Coleridge finishing third more than a minute further back.

Minors, who has been based in the United Kingdom for the past few months, has also recently been named the new chairman of the Bermuda Olympic Association's Athlete Commission.
