Bermuda brothers Blake and Kyle Burgess helped Christchurch School varsity sailing team win the Spring MASSA District Fleet Racing Championship over the weekend.The championships doubled as a Mallory national qualifier, with the victory guaranteeing Christchurch a spot at the nationals in Texas in May.The school beat out teams from Maryland and New Jersey to claim the top prize with both Blake and Kyle in the thick of the action.For Blake, who has been accepted to Maine Maritime College where he plans to Study Maritime Transportation, it was a championship to remember as he skippered the ‘A’ fleet to six wins, three seconds, and a third place. Matthew Wallin was the crew for the winning ‘A’ team.Kyle skippered the ‘B’ fleet that won two races, while also claiming a second and a third. Archer Ruffin was onboard with Kyle.
