Bermuda sailors Mackenzie Cooper and Ryan Powell were both in high level action at the Hyannis Tacht Club Regatta in Hyannis, Massachusetts over the weekend.Cooper finished ninth out of a fleet of 40 Laser Radial sailors, with four top five finishes; while Powell and American drew George Luber finished 38th after 11 races in the Club 420s.Competing in the USADA New England Championships in the Optimists Class, fellow Bermudian Chase Cooper came 24th out of 295 boats and 8th in his age division.The regatta, hosted by the Beverly Yacht Club, was won by Lauderdale Yacht Club’s Wade Waddell, who is the US invitee for this year's RenRe Junior Gold Cup in October.
