Bermuda’s PJ Rodrigues and Christian Ebbin had a tough second day at the Allianz Youth World Sailing Championships in Brazil.

Rodrigues and Ebbin, who were sixth after the opening day, dropped down to 17th overall in the male/mixed skiff after the duo could finish only 21st, 22nd and 18th in their three races in the 29er class on day two.

The French duo of Karl Devaux and Hugo Revil, winners of Youth World Championships gold in 2021 and this year’s EuroCup series champions, remain top of the standings after notching up their third win of the competition.

After two days of sailing, Bermuda are now on 69 points after dropping their weakest race and are 38 points off the medal places in the 30-strong fleet
