Colts on verge of relegation

North Village v BoulevardThe league leaders will again be facing a must win game as the season draws to a close.Coming off a mediocre performance last weekend when they were gifted their win against Cougars, Village will need to put a better performance together if they are to claim all three points from this one.Playing Boulevard won’t be an easy task, especially with the side looking to play spoiler against their city neighbours. If Boulevard can get the early goal, it may rattle the home side who haven’t been playing the best football as of late.Prediction: Village 2-0Devonshire Cougars –v Somerset EaglesEagles will try and move clear of the relegation zone with a win over Cougars who have one-eye on their Friendship and FA Cup runs.Currently fourth from bottom, Eagles can ill afford any more slip ups if they are to keep their place in the top flight. While they let Village off the hook last week, Cougars will be looking to find some sort of form before their ‘real’ matches come around, with the club still in both cup competitions.Prediction: 2-2Devonshire Colts v St David’sA relegation six pointer for St David’s, who are second from bottom and must win if they are to escape the drop. With Colts all but relegated, and certainly down if St David’s win, the battle for survival is between the Islanders and the two sides directly above them, Somerset Eagles and Southampton Rangers.Victory here would certainly put St David’s in the driving seat, especially as their rivals both face tricky ties on Sunday.Prediction: St. David’s 3-2Southampton Rangers v PHCAnother must win affair for both teams, although for wildly different reasons.Southampton Rangers must win to keep themselves above the drop zone, and Zebras must win to keep their title hopes alive. The first goal in this one will be important given the scoring issues both sides have up front, so look for a midfielder to provide the winning touch.Prediction: Zebras 2-1St George’s v Dandy TownOn the back of their 5-1 hammering of Somerset Eagles last weekend, Dandy Town will be looking to continue their winning ways as they cling to the possibility, however remote, that they might yet successfully defend their league title. In St George’s however they will come up against a well balanced side that has caused teams all sorts of problems in their first season back in the top flight. Not that any of the home side’s hard work will matter if they can’t control the potent Raymond Beach, who is now the Premier Division’s leading goal scorer this season.Prediction: Town 3-1
