Boulevard midfielder Takeyhi Walker is adamant that his side’s game against North Village tomorrow at Bernard Park is as important to them as it is to the league leaders.Village are in the middle of a title fight and currently hold a point lead over PH, while Boulevard are in a comfortable position, some seven points clear of relegation.With points coming at a premium in the run in to the end of the league, Walker believes the match can decide both teams fate of where they finish in the league.“It is a big game for both sides, we are looking forward to the game as will they so it should be a good game,” said Walker. “They are top of the league while we are trying to get as much as we can but we are looking to win.“You can’t say the pressure is more on them because we need points to make sure we are safe, they want to stay top, and we want to move up a few places so we want to get as much points as we can from now until the end of the season.“They can’t afford to slip up because they have teams breathing down their necks so it is a big game.”The first match between the two sides was a close encounter, with a late Keishen Bean goal settling the affair.While many won’t expect Boulevard to get anything out the game, Walker is adamant that it is vital to get a result in their favour to remain clear of the relegation zone.Blazers still have a crucial match against St. David’s on the horizon and anything positive out of tomorrow’s game coupled with a good result against the Islanders will see the city club safe from the drop.“The last game was close and if we can play the brand of football we are capable of then it should be a good game, but from the last game to now I can’t say how close it will be but it will be a good game.“We have a game against St. David’s who are below us at the moment and it is important to get a result in that game that makes sure they don’t catch us.“Any team that is below us we have to get a result so that they don’t gain any points on us.“Those types of games are must wins for us, the teams that are above us we can get a point or something but those around us we need to beat to ensure our survival.”Elsewhere tomorrow, St. David’s travel to Police Field to face off against Devonshire Colts in a battle of the two bottom sides. Colts are currently eight points off safety, while the visitors will be searching for a win that would condemn their hosts to the drop.Southampton Rangers take on PHC at Southampton Oval knowing that nothing but a win will suffice with the side level on points with St. David’s. One point above the pair is Somerset Eagles, who travel to Devonshire Rec. to lock horns with Devonshire Cougars who are safe from relegation.The day’s other game see St. George’s welcome champions Dandy Town to Wellington Oval.
