Crofton hits hat-trick as Tough Dogs beat BAA
Vasco 3 Robin Hood 1Vasco continued their unbeaten season with a win over Robin Hood in a tough, competitive match.The league leaders opened strongly and took an early lead through a fine strike by Rui Sebastiao which beat Paul Fox in the Hood goal.Hood then shifted gears and got their equaliser in the 40th minute when Darran Reitz powered home a header from a Hood corner.The second half started with the same tempo with both sides playing fast, attacking football and creating chances. Vasco took the lead when a hotly disputed penalty gave Rui Furtado the opportunity to drive the ball home.Hood then went on the assault and created several good chances but their finishing let them down.In the dying minutes of the game, with the entire Hood team in attack trying to score a late equaliser, the ball broke to an unmarked Sebastiao on the half-way line who ran on the slot the ball past the Hood keeper to finish the game as a contest.Tuff Dogs 4 BAA 2Lamaul Crofton netted a hat-trick as Tuff Dogs continued their assault on a top-two finish.Yuseff Pitt also grabbed a goal for Dogs while Simon Fascione and Ross Nottingham scored for Wanderers in a losing effort.Chris Sharpe was sent off after 65 minutes, leaving BAA to play the rest of the game with ten men.Lobster Pot 3North Village 2Levar Hart scored the winner for Pot as they beat North Village. Henri Santucci put Pot up early on before Village levelled matters through Tillman DarrellSantucci gave Pot the lead again and Hart scored the all important third goal to seal the win. Village did pull a goal back through Javon Thomas from the penalty spot but that would be as close as they would come.MR Onions 4Lock ‘N’ Key 3MR Onions got the better of Lock ‘N’ Key in a hotly contested game that saw both sides have men sent off.In a battle of attrition, Quinton Basden’s brace for Key was cancelled out by doubles from Jimmy Caplice and Phil Anderson. Key’s third was an own goal that saw two Key players receive red cards while Onions also had a man sent off.Valley FC 6St. David’s 3Jermaine Stovell grabbed a hat-trick as Valley came out top in a game that saw nine goals.Helping Stovell was Anthony Webb who helped himself to a brace while Dion Woolridge and Arthur Tucker also netted a goal apiece.Rudell Pitcher, Craig Simons and Desmond Crockwell all scored for the Islanders.n West End United were awarded the points from their match over the weekend after Fire FC were unable to field a team.
