Fascione hits four in BAA rout
BAA 7 St David’s 1BAA made light work of St. David’s in a top versus bottom clash.Simon Fascione socred four goals to lead the Greens.Early dominance saw BAA fly into a 4-0 lead with goals from Martin Jones, Damian Mendoza and two from Fascione giving the side a comfortable lead before the break.Desmond Crockwell pulled a goal back for St David’s before half-time but the second half was pretty much one-way traffic with St David’s on the back foot.Fascione completed his hat-trick on 60 minutes and skipper Adam Shaw finished a fine passing move with a shot from 18 yards that found the back of the net.It was left to Fascione to score his fourth and BAA’s seventh as he turned in the box and slammed home from 12 yards to cap an impressive performance.Robin Hood 2 Valley FC 1Robin Hood came from behind to win a scrappy match against Valley FC.Peter Sampson put Valley ahead just before half-time and while both sides were guilty of giving the ball away and squandering chances in front of goal, Gary Ray brought the sides level midway through the second half when his high, looping cross eluded the Valley ‘keeper and ended up in the back of the net.Grant McKellar sealed the Hood victory with a lob over the ‘keeper from the edge of the box.Lobster Pot 2 St George’s 1Lobster Pot continued their unbeaten run but were made to fight by the East Enders.Henry Santucci put Pot ahead early in the first half and then dobuled the lead midway through the second period through a deflected shot that beat Troy Hall in goal.Colts found a way back into the match through Coolridge Durham when he curled a free kick inside the far post.Both sides had chances to change the scoreline late on but Pot settled with the narrow win and maximum points.West End United 2 North Village Rams 2West End came from two goals down to earn a share of the points.Village went ahead courtesy of Nya Rawlins before Nakia Smith doubled the lead shortly after.In a match-up of youth against experience, it was the young United team who produced a spirited fightback.Eugene Simmons scored twice for United to get his side a share of the spoils.Tuff Dogs 4 Flanagans Onions 2Lamaul Crofton smashed all four Tuff Dogs goals to lead his side to a conincing win.Phil Anderson and Jimmy Caplice scored a goal each in a losing effort.Lock N Key 3 Vasco 4Quincy Aberdeen scored a hat-trick to lead Vasco to the win over Lock ‘N’ Key.Rui Sebestiao scored the Vasco fourth goal, while Stephen Astwood scored two for Key with Chris Furbert netting the other.
