BAA 5 Vasco 2BAA got back to winning ways on Friday night with a scintillating display against Vasco.Neal Churchill opened the scoring after two minutes when his surging run took him past four Vasco defenders before calmly slotting the ball past the ‘keeper from the edge of the box.That lead was doubled on 20 minutes when Jeff Bunge was first to react in the box, slamming home from six yards after Vasco failed to deal with a corner.Vasco pulled one back on 35 minutes from the penalty spot courtesy of Quincy Aberdeen and were surprisingly level with the last kick of the first half when the BAA defence were caught sleeping, allowing Ricardo Arruda to score.BAA were back in front five minutes after the break when Damian Mendoza finished after good work from Churchill and scored a fourth when skipper Adam Shaw picked his spot from 20 yards after good wing play from Alex Hunter.To underline BAA’s dominance, was left to Churchill to cap a fine performance by scoring his second and BAA’s fifth when he swivelled and struck hard and high in the top corner to give BAA all three points and secure top spot in the league.Robin Hood 2 North Village 2Honours were even after a tight match between Robin Hood and North Village.Veteran former pro Kyle Lightbourne scored a swirling free kick while Stephen Coddington also found the back of the net for Village, while Victor Richards and Grant Mckellar netted for Hood.Flanagans Onions 4 Lock ‘N’ Key 2Flanagans Onions outduelled Lock ‘N’ Key for what turned out to be a comfortable win.A brace from Dave Martin was enough to give Onions the win while Jon Betts and Keith Szmierek also got their names on the scoresheet.Steven Astwood and Gladstone Stovell were on the mark for for Lock ‘N’ Key.Lobster Pot 7 Valley 3Henry Santucci jr scored four times to guide Pot to a landslide victory.Helping Santucci in the goalscoring department were Johnson Mugulusi, Luis Rocha, and Kniffe Thompson.Valley’s goalscorers couldn’t be confirmed.n The matches between St Davids and West End United and St George’s and Tuff Dogs were not played due to a funeral in the East End.
