Derrick ‘Rocky’ Bean has been announced the new head football coach at Boulevard Community Club, taking charge of both the junior and senior programmes.Bean has coached both locally and in Canada and in a press statement released last night, the club said he would “bring a wealth of experience”.He is currently an educator in the Bermuda Public Education System, and is “is committed to changing the lives of young people through football and reconnecting to the community of Central Pembroke,” said the statement.It added: “Several months ago, the Boulevard Community Club committed to living up to its ideals of family, education, cultural pride, integrity, community Service, and Youth Development. The appointment of Mr. Bean represents a major step in that direction.”The first coaching session under Bean will take place this Sunday, starting at 9am at the Victor Scott School Field.”
