Ten PHC legends make Hall of Fame
Ten legends of PHC Zebras have been inducted into the club’s first Hall of Fame to acknowledge their footballing efforts of years gone by.Richard (Junior) Mallory, Eston Rawlins, Willard Manders, Eldridge (Pop) Smith, Lewis (John Beaver) Burrows were all inducted to the Hall of Fame posthumously with their family members accepting on their behalf.In person to accept their induction into the first ever class of PHC Hall of Famers were Ed Durham, Earl (Townsey) Russell, Leroy (Nibs) Lewis, Cal White, and Calvin (Bummy) Symonds .“It was a fantastic weekend with the senior presentation on Friday and the youth presentation on Sunday, with the Hall of Fame Induction taking place at both presentations,” said a spokesperson for the club.“The highlight of this year’s ceremonies was the first Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony.“Looking on with great pride was a standing room only audience, which included current players ranging from four to 36-years-old and past players like Sammy Swan, Derrick Douglas, Kevin Dill, Frank Ming and Dana Rawlins to name a few.”An annual prize presentation was also held for the club’s football, softball and netball teams.
