Bermudian footballer Cally Blankendal was named Player of the Match after turning in another encouraging performance over the weekend in Denham United’s 4-1 loss. The side went down to Rushmoor Saints, and after falling behind 3-0 at the break, thanks in large part to some poor marking, changes were made at the back. Blankendal was tasked with shoring up the defence in the second half, resulting in her side playing better and only conceding one more goal.Heather Musson scored United’s lone goal in the loss. The daughter of Bermuda Football Association first vice-president, Cal Blankendal, Cally is in her first semester at Hare Field Academy and is enjoying life at her club team in England.
