Wells on target in draw

Wells scored his fifth goal in his past four matches

Nahki Wells scored his fourteenth goal of the season yesterday, but it was only good enough to earn Bradford City a 1-1 draw away to Oldham Athletic in Sky Bet League One.

The Bermuda striker, who had been suffering from a sickness bug that swept through the team in midweek, hit the crossbar in the sixteenth minute and netted in the 21st to give Bradford the lead. But it held up for only two minutes before Jonson Clarke-Harris gave the home side parity.

Wells’s goal, his fifth in his past four matches, was the only shot on target for Bradford, who moved up one place in the table to eighth, having dropped three places after Saturday’s matches.
