Nia Christopher’s goal in the first minute of the second half gave Bermuda a 1-1 draw with Trinidad & Tobago in the Concacaf Girls’ Under-15 Championship in Cayman Islands last night.
Bermuda responded well to going behind to a strike from Raenah Campbell in the eleventh minute, but their fate in group B has now been taken out of their hands.
With Honduras beating Barbados 3-0 in the other match, Bermuda need the Central American side to complete a perfect record in the group by turning over Trinidad on Sunday, while they defeat Barbados and, in so doing, wipe out a minus-five goal differential to Trinidad.
The top two teams in each of the four groups advance to the quarter-finals.
