BFA announces standing committees
The Bermuda Football Association is pleased to announce the following appointments to the BFA standing committees after the recent annual congress meeting and elections.
The BFA thanks the executive members for accepting the appointments and we look forward to an exciting year with fully functional committees that plan and execute our programmes. Standing committee meetings are held on a monthly basis and report to the Executive Committee at the monthly meeting as well as file written reports on committee activities.
At the recent annual congress meeting, the affiliates voted to reinstate the Youth Committee and the Women’s Committee, which previously were a part of the Player Development Committee.
This restructuring is in line with Concacaf and Fifa structures, which will now allow for a dedicated chair and committee to focus on those areas. The responsibilities will now be as follows:
The Player Development Committee will head the decision-making on policy, rules, league structure, coaching education, promotion and national programme.
The Youth Committee will oversee Appleby Youth League operations and the Women’s Committee will be in charge of all aspects of women’s and girls’ football, including grassroots programmes, senior outdoor league and futsal.
