Bascome to hold coaching clinics
David Bascome will hold his Validus Pro Soccer Clinic from June 29 to July 3 and August 17 to 21 at the National Sports Centre’s North Field.
Over the past 24 years, Bascome, a former Bermuda international and indoor professional and now president of Bascome Enterprise, has impacted the lives of more than 6,000 young local footballers through his annual Pro Soccer summer clinic.
It is a programme that focuses on soccer skills, self-discipline and the development of positive values that young people can use both on the field of play and in their daily lives,
This year Validus Holdings, which has had a working partnership with Bascome Enterprise for a number of years, will be the Pro Soccer summer clinic’s lead sponsor.
“Validus is thrilled to support David Bascome and the great work that his clinic carries out,” said Jeff Sangster, CFO of Validus Holdings.
“For years, these clinics have had a positive impact on children in our community, promoting inclusiveness, leadership skills and a strong work ethic,”
The clinic is open to male and female players from ages 4 to 16.
“Over the years I have been able to build a firm foundation on which the Pro Soccer clinic has successfully grown,” Bascome said. “I could not be more pleased that Validus has committed to being the clinic’s lead sponsor, helping to support our community and the continued development of our young players.”
Application forms and a drop box for the 2015 clinic are now available at the Sportseller, located at the lower level of the Washington Mall or on the www.bascomeenterprise.com website, Global Sports, Soccer clinic/camps section.
