Nahki Wells and Reggie Lambe scored winners for their clubs in Sky Bet Championship and League Two matches last night.

The pair of Bermuda internationals both scored in the second half to help their teams, Huddersfield Town and Mansfield Town, to important victories.

Wells, who was recalled to the Huddersfield starting line-up in last weekend’s game at Ipswich Town, netted his third goal of the season in the 58th minute against MK Dons, driving a shot from inside the box into the bottom corner. It was Wells’s first goal in seven games.

Huddersfield added a second five minutes into stoppage time when Jamie Paterson, Wells’s 78th-minute replacement, found the net from close range.

“We played a good possession-based team and our organisation was good,” Chris Powell, the Huddersfield manager, said. “We had to be patient without the ball tonight and we’ve got our rewards with a clean sheet.

“That’s one defeat in the last six now, with three wins and a couple of draws. That’s a decent run.”

Lambe also found the net in stoppage time, scoring a header against Yeovil ten minutes into time added on, to give Mansfield a 1-0 away victory.

The additional time was played because of a serious injury to Stephen Arthurworrey of Yeovil who was eventually substituted. Mansfield climbed from eighth to fourth in League Two.

Meanwhile, another Bermudian, Rai Simons, came on as a substitute in the 75th minute for Chesterfield who won at home to Southend 3-0. The win, their third in four games, lifts Chesterfield up to ninth in the League One standings, four points outside the play-offs.
