Warwick Academy won four titles at the Bermuda School Sports Federation knockout finals at the North Field on Saturday. Saltus Grammar and Berkeley Institute claimed two trophies each.

Warwick Academy got goals from Izzy Simmons and Meghan Topley in their 2-0 win over Saltus in the primary girls’ final. Simmons was named MVP for Warwick and Ella Newton for Saltus.

Nayan Grant scored twice and Ralph Scott once to give Warwick Academy the primary sweep, with a 3-2 win over Eliott Primary in the boys’ final. Diaon DeSilva swan scored both for Elliot earning him MVP honours while Xavi Derosa was named MVP for Warwick. Ellie Richmond led the way with four goals for Warwick in their 9-3 win over Bermuda High School in the middle school girls’ final. Also on the scoresheet were Taylor Horan, Asia Lee Hollis, Catherine Camara, Majesty Wilson, with the ninth coming from an own goal. BHS got two goals from T’ajia Williams and one from Zorena Anderson. Zemira Webb was named Warwick MVP while Williams won the award for BHS. Warwick beat Whitney Institute 4-0 in the middle school under-13 final.

Warwick got two first half goals from Charlie Thompson and a single strike from Finn Watson. Harry Twite sealed the victory with a solo effort in the second half. Thompson was named MVP for Warwick, while Jekai Eve won the Whitney award.

Sacheil Ming scored the winning penalty to lift Saltus to the over-13 boys’ title in a penalty shootout after a scoreless draw against Whitney. Saltus goalkeeper Ethan Pimental was named mvp for Saltus while captain Lazai Outerbridge won Whitney’s prize. In the night’s most entertaining match, Saltus needed penalties to defeat Berkeley after the teams drew 3-3 in the senior girls’ final.

Riley Simmons scored to give Berkeley the lead, but Selah Tuzo scored immediately after to level. Jya Ratteray-Smith scored to give Berkeley a 2-1 advantage heading into the break.

Simmons scored again early in the second half, before Danni Watson pullled one back midway through the second half. Xe’Azjah Paynter was on hand to level the score in the final minute of the match.

Watson and Ratteray-Smith won MVP honours for their respective teams.

Zaire Smith and Zahkiyah Lee scored two each as Berkeley overwhelmed Saltus 4-0 in the boys’ under-16 final. Lee was named mvp for Berkeley, while Cody Richardson was his Saltus counterpart.

Penalties again were needed to separate Berkeley and CedarBridge Academy in the over-16 final after a scoreless draw. Berkeley came out on top winning 4-3 in the shootout. Jahkeylo Burgess was named MVP for CedarBridge mvp with Mical Hartdman taking honours for Berkeley.
