Wells scores in Burnley friendly
Nahki Wells scored in Burnley’s 5-1 win over non-League side Curzon Ashton in a pre-season friendly on Friday.
The Premier League side’s other scorers were Sam Vokes with a brace, Jon Walters and Ben Mee.
Burnley are away to Scottish outfit Aberdeen in the first leg of the Europa League second-round qualifiers on Thursday. They host the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership runners-up on August 2.

Also yesterday, Djair Parfitt-Williams’s Rudar Velenje suffered a 5-0 defeat at home to Maribor in the Slovakian Premier League. Meanwhile Zeiko Lewis was an unused substitute in the FH’s 4-1 defeat away to Breidablik in the Icelandic top flight.
