Willie Clemons helped Bodens to promotion to the Division 1 Norra — the third tier of Swedish football.

Bodens won their final game of season 2-1 away to Pitea to clinch the title today.

Clemons, the Bermuda midfielder, who jojned Bodens at the start of the season, was substituted in the 88th minute.

Max Nyqvist and Jack Green scored in the first half for Bodens, with Mani netting a late consolation for the home side.

Bodens finished two points ahead of Hudiksvall, with 55 points from 26 matches.

Nahki Wells came on as a second-half substitute in Queens Park Rangers’ 2-0 win away to Ipswich Town in the Sky Bet Championship yesterday.

The Bermuda striker was brought on in the 72nd minute for Tomar Hemed who scored his side’s second goal with a penalty at the end of the first half.

QPR took the lead after an own goal from Town goalkeeper Dean Gerkin.

Steve McClaren, the QPR manager, was praised his side’s professionalism as they climbed to sixteenth in the table.

“I’m delighted,” McClaren told the club website. “We challenged the players in the week about what they want to do. This is always a tough place to come and they had a good win against Swansea last time out.

“They boys were totally professional. That is the most professional job I have seen from us away from home in terms of controlling the game, getting two goals and getting a clean sheet to collect three points away from home, which we are delighted about.

“You’re always waiting for that one goal that can light the opposition’s fire.

“We said at half-time to control the game, defend well and ensure we keep a clean sheet, and I’m disappointed we didn’t go and get a third or fourth as we had opportunities to do that. That will come and I said to the guys in the dressing room that we have got to keep this spirit in here.”

Reggie Lambe helped Cambridge United to a 1-1 draw away to leaders Lincoln City in League Two yesterday.

Lincoln, who played 70 minutes with ten men after Ellis Chapman was dismissed for a late challenge, took the lead in the sixth minute through Matt Rhead.

Jevani Brown found an equaliser in the eleventh minute. Cambridge are 23rd in the table.

Jonté Smith played for Lewes in their 2-0 win at home to Folkstone Invicta in the Bostik League Premier Division yesterday. Thomas Day and Dan Derbyshire scored for Lewes, who are seventh in the table.

Danté Leverock returned to club duty after captaining Bermuda in their 12-0 win at home to Sint Maarten last week. But he could not prevent Narva Trans losing 2-1 at home to Flora in the Estonian top flight yesterday.

Erik Sorga and Rauno Allikui scored for Flora, who were reduced to ten men in the 24th when Anselmi Nurmela was sent off. Viktor Plotnikov scored for the home side, who are fourth in the table.
