BFA to host Concacaf forum

Victor Montagliani, the Concacaf president, will visit the island this week

The Bermuda Football Association will host the first in a series of Concacaf leadership forums at the Fairmont Southampton hotel on Friday and Saturday.

Among those visiting the island will be Victor Montagliani, the Concacaf president, Uefa delegates, and presidents and general secretaries from the Bahamas, Jamaica, Turks and Caicos and US Virgin Islands. They will be joined by Mark Wade and David Sabir, the BFA president and general secretary.

The various topics to be discussed at the Concacaf Executive Leadership Forum will include governance, good practices, administration and leadership, while presidents and general secretaries will have a chance too share their experiences.

The BFA Executive has also invited the Concacaf delegates and other special guests to attend a dinner at the Fairmont Southampton to recognise the BFA’s 90th anniversary.

Wade said he is “humbled and very honoured” that Concacaf has chosen the BFA as the first host for the regional leadership forums.

“The opportunity to celebrate 90 years of football under the auspices of the Bermuda Football Association on this occasion promises to be another great moment in football’s history here in Bermuda,” he added.
