Richard Todd is seeking re-election as president of the Bermuda Football Coaches Association whose Annual General Meeting is on Monday at the National Sports Centre’s North Pavilion starting promptly at 7.30pm.

Nominations for executive committee membership and officer positions were accepted by the BFCA for Todd, Maceo Dill, Khomeini Talbot, Larry Smith, Dennis Brown, Derek Stapley, Omar Shakir and Tracee Seymour. Nominations will also be accepted at the AGM when all the nominees will have the opportunity to address the members for five minutes to discuss their interest in becoming a member and, if desired, an officer of the BFCA executive committee.

Current executive committee members include Todd, Dill, the vice-president, secretary Khomeini Talbot, treasurer Darran Reitze as well as Smith, Brown, Stapley and Andrew Bascome.

Todd was elected as president in late November 2017 when he replaced Scott Morton who gave notice that he would not be seeking re-election, as did vice-president Derek Stapley and secretary Germano Botelho. The trio had served in their executive roles since the formation of the BFCA in 2013.

Todd was the sole nomination for the presidency while Talbot was the only nominee for the post of secretary, with Reitze returned unopposed as treasurer.

Meanwhile, the BFCA have announced that registration for their seventh Annual Uefa Equivalent C Licence Course is now open.

This two-part course is led by Uefa instructor, Jacques Crevoisier, along with Uefa B Licence Coach educators.

It comprises classroom and on-field sessions, with individual assessments held at the end of the course. The course is sanctioned by the Bermuda Football Association.

The course teaches participants the main principles of coaching — organising and effectively running group sessions, developing age-specific training and analysing training sessions and matches.
