Kidderminster part ways with manager
Kacy Milan Butterfield played the entire match in Kidderminster Harriers 2-1 defeat at home to Leamington in the Vanarama National League North on Friday.
Joe Ironside gave Kidderminster the lead in the fifth minute but Leamington levelled in the tenth minute from Jake Edwards before Junior English netted for the visiting side in the 32nd minute.
Mark Yates, the team’s manager subsequently left Kidderminster, with defender James O’Connor placed in charge for the remaining two games of the campaign. Yates took charge on a deal until the end of the campaign in January.
Kidderminster are tenth in the table, five points outside the play-offs. They take on Guiseley tomorow.
In the same league, Osagi Bascome was an unused substitute in Darlington’s 1-0 win at home to Bradford Park Avenue on Friday. Stephen Thompson scored the winner in the 81st minute.
Darlington are fifteenth in the table and take on Southport away tomorow.
Also in the Vanarama National League North, goalkeeper Jahquill Hill was an unused substitute in Hereford United’s 1-1 at home to Telford United draw on Friday.
Rowan Liburd scored in the seventh minute to give Hereford the lead before Shane Sutton equalised in the 62nd minute. Hereford play Altrincham away today.
Danté Leverock played in Sligo Rovers’ 2-1 defeat away to St Patrick’s Athletic in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division on Friday.
Christopher Forrester scored for the home side in the sixteenth minute before Michael Drennan added a second from the penalty spot in the 24th minute. David Cawley pulled a goal back for Sligo in the 88th minute. Sligo are eighth in the table with 11 points from 11 games.
Roger Lee was an unused substitute in Tallinna Kalev’s 2-2 draw away to Nomme Kalju on Saturday. Alex Tamm and Aleksandre Kulinits scored for the home, while Andreas Raudsepp and Daniil Sheviakov netted for Kalev, who are bottom of the table.
Zeiko Lewis came off in the second half of Charleston Battery’s 3-1 win at home to Nashville in the USL Championships yesterday. Jarad van Schalik scored a brace and Arthur Bosua netted for Charleston. Daniel Armando scored a late penalty for the visiting side.
Reggie Lambe’s Cambridge United all but confirmed their League Two place next season with a 0-0 draw at home to Swindon Town on Saturday. Lambe was substituted in the 87th minute.
Nahki Wells will be hoping to be in action for Queens Park Rangers when they take on Derby County in the Championship tomorow.
Wells has started on the substitutes bench in QPR’s previous two games. He came on in the 52nd minute in QPR’s 2-1 defeat away to Blackburn Rovers on Friday.
A Danny Graham penalty and a Bradley Dack finish accounted for Blackburn’s goals. Matt Smith scored a header in stoppage time for QPR.
