Nahki Wells scored his second goal since rejoining Queens Park Rangers on loan in his side’s 3-1 win at home to Wigan Athletic in the Sky Bet Championship on Yesterday.

Wells, who spent last season on loan at QPR from Premier League side Burnley, cancelled out Cedric Kipre’s early opener by pouncing on a low cross from Ryan Manning shortly after half-time.

Ebere Eze curled in a free kick to put QPR ahead in on the hour mark and the forward then set up substitute Jordan Hugill to secure the points. QPR are thirteenth in the table.

Goalkeeper Nathan Trott, on loan from Premier League side West Ham United, was powerless to prevent AFC Wimbledon slipping to a 3-1 defeat away to Sunderland in League One.

Chris Maguire netted a hat-trick for the home side, while Kwesi Appiah scored for Wimbledon, who are 20th in the table.

Meanwhile, Bermuda forward Reggie Lambe came on as a 70th-minute substitute in Cambridge United’s 2-1 defeat at home to Oldham Athletic in League Two.

Marc Richards equalised for Cambridge in the 35th minute after Urko Vera had opened the scoring Oldham on the half-hour mark.

A second-half header by David Wheater, the former Middlesbrough defender, sealed the victory for the visiting side in the 67th minute.

Osagi Bascome, the Bermuda midfielder, was substituted in the 84th minute in Darlington’s 1-1 draw away to Altrincham in the Vanarama National League North.

Bascome’s Bermuda team-mate Justin Donawa came on in the 73rd minute for Darlington.

John Hulme broke the deadlock for Altrincham, who looked set for the victory until Adam Campbell struck deep into stoppage time for the visiting side.

Also in the National League North, Milan Butterfield, the Bermuda midfielder, played the whole game in Kidderminster Harriers’ 1-0 defeat at home to Chester.

Knory Scott, the Bermuda Under-20 forward, came on as a 72nd-minute substitute for Kidderminster, who found themselves trailing to a Matty Hughes opener in the first half.

Elsewhere in Europe, Willie Clemons played in Bodens’ 3-1 defeat away to Carlstad United in the First Division North in Sweden.

Govend Haidar, Timothy McNeil and Bbakka Alexias scored for the home side, while Raymond Mendy netted for Bodens.

In Ireland, Danté Leverock, the Bermuda captain, was sent off for what appeared to be a headbutt in Sligo Rovers’ 6-2 win at home to Limerick in a FAI Cup tie that included four red cards on Yesterday.

Sligo came from two goals down to beat eight-man Limerick to reach the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time since 2015.

After conceding twice early on, Sligo fought back to cancel out Karl O’Sullivan’s brace, with Romeo Parkes netting twice and Ronan Ronan Coughlan and Regan Donelon both scoring to give the home side a 4-2 lead at the interval.

Both teams were reduced to ten men before the break, with Leverock receiving a straight red and Limerick’s Shaun Kelly picking up a second booking.

Limerick, who fell further behind after goals from David Cawley and Kris Twardek, were reduced to eight men when Clyde O’Connell and Jason Hughes were dismissed.

Zeiko Lewis, the Bermuda forward, came on as a second-half substitute in Charleston Battery’s 2-1 defeat away to Nashville in the USL Championship on Yesterday.

Ropapa Mensah gave the home side the lead in the 56th minute before Kotaro Higashi levelled just before half-time.

There was late drama as Bolu Akinyode grabbed a winner for Nashville in the third minute of stoppage time.

Meanwhile, Roger Lee helped Talinna Kalev earn a 1-1 draw away to Viljandi Tulevik in the Estonia top flight today.

Wale Musa Alli scored the opener for the visiting side in the 28th minute but Janar Ounap ensured there would be a share of the spoils after equalising in the 39th minute.
