Watford are heading to Bermuda as they cast their eye over potential football talent.

The Premier League club are coming to the island as part of Iconz Experience Ltd’s return to hold another EPL Summer Camp after the success of a similar camp that was held at Clyde Best Centre of Excellence in July.

Both camps will start on October 21, with the EFL Soccer Camp, run once again by Lawrie Dudfield, the former Leicester City and Hull City striker, along with Micky Adams, former Leicester City manager, running until October 25 and are aimed at eight to 15 year-olds.

Running until October 24, the Watford camp will be strictly for 10 to 15-year-olds.

The recent success of Bermudian Kane Crichlow, who has impressed in his first few months since signing for Watford from AFC Wimbledon, has been cited as the driving force behind the club’s decision to send out academy manager Richard Thomas to cast his eye over any further potential talent.

“Following the exciting promise shown by Watford Under-23 player Kane Crichlow, we are excited to visit Bermuda ourselves to see first hand the standard of players and look forward to unearthing the next batch of hidden talent,” Thomas said.
