Colts enjoy big win over Social Club

Ricardo Ponte, the Vasco captain, scored against Parish

Devonshire Colts thrashed ten-man Social Club 5-1 at Devonshire Recreation Club yesterday in the First Division.

Diego Richardson opened the scoring for Colts in the 26th minute before Calon Woolridge’s 28th-minute own goal and Chamarl Henry’s 37th-minute strike earned Ray Jones’s team a comfortable 3-0 cushion at the half.

Richardson grabbed a second to extend Colts’s lead at the start of the second half before Henry completed a brace of his own to make it 5-0.

Social Club were reduced to ten men in the 87th minute when Chequan Sampson was sent off after receiving a second booking.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, Social Club managed to grab a consolation in the last minute through a goal from Dalchri Wade.

Colts are level on points with Vasco and Wolves but ahead on goal difference.

Wolves beat St David’s 2-0 at Garrison Field with a goal in each half securing the points.

Enaharo Sharrieff-Holdipp opened the scoring in the 35th minute before Antoine Brangman netted the second in the 81st minute.

Vasco thrashed Hamilton Parish 7-1 at Wellington Oval where Ricardo Madeiros and Ryan Lopes netted twice after Kneiko Richardson gave Parish a sixth-minute lead.

Madeiros scored in the 28th and 37th minutes to give Vasco a slim 2-1 lead at the half.

Jorge Costa made it 3-1 in the 54th minute before Lopes got in on the scoring act with goals in the 66th and 81st minutes. Ricardo Ponte and Eduardo Viera closed out the scoring with goals in the 83rd and 86th minutes.
