Donawa scores again for Darlington

Justin Donawa goes on the attack for Darlington against Telford

Justin Donawa continued his scoring run for non-League side Darlington in their 3-2 home defeat against Telford on Saturday.

The Bermuda forward, who has netted five times this season, scored his side’s second of the game to give them a two-goal lead at the break. However, Darlington surrendered their two-goal cushion, conceding three goals in the second half.

Also in the Vanarama National League, Milan Butterfield, the Bermuda midfielder, was substituted in the 76th minute in Kidderminster Harriers’ 1-0 defeat at home to Southport on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Nahki Wells came on as a second-half substitute in Queens Park Rangers’ 1-1 draw away to Derby County in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday.

Martyn Waghorn’s free kick put Derby ahead in the 23rd minute before Ebere Eze equalised for QPR in the 45th minute from the penalty spot.

In the FA Cup second round, Jonté Smith, the Bermuda forward, was an 82nd minute substitute in Cheltenham Town’s 3-1 defeat at home to Port Vale yesterday.

Tom Pope scored an eight-minute hat-trick to fire Vale into the third round of the competition.

The home side had dominated the first half after taking an early lead through Reuben Reid’s third-minute penalty.
