Wells makes late appearance for QPR

Nahki Wells came on as a late substitute for QPR

Nahki Wells came on to replace Bright Osayi-Samuel in the 83rd minute for Queens Park Rangers of their 1-0 defeat away to Reading in the Sky Bet Championship today.

John Swift scored in the 52nd minute for the Readings at the Madejski Stadium to leave them one point behind QPR, who are fourteenth the table. Wells’s side are back in action on Sunday against Hull City at home.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Nathan Trott played the full 90 minutes for AFC Wimbledon in their 2-1 win at Bristol Rovers in League One. Joe Piggott scored the winner six minutes from time.

Wimbledon are at home to Oxford United on Sunday.

Jonté Smith did not play in Cheltenham’s 1-0 home loss against Plymouth Argyle in League Two yesterday. Zak Ruddon scored midway through the first half for the visiting side.

Reggie Lambe was suspended as his Cambridge United team-mates fell to a thumping 4-0 defeat away to Swindon Town in League Two. Keshi Anderson scored a hat-trick for Swindon, while Eoin Doyle added a penalty.

Milan Butterfield made a difference, having a shot saved and playing the full 90 for Kidderminster Harriers in their 3-1 home win over Hereford United in the Vanarama National League North.

Ollie Shenton scored twice for Harriers, while Ashley Hemmings added a late third. Reece Styche scored for Hereford.

Justin Donawa came on for Jarrett Rivers in the 66th minute in Darlington’s 2-1 home win over Spennymoor Town in National League North. Compatriot Osagi Bascome was an unused substitute. Stephen Thompson scored the winner from the penalty spot 18 minutes from time, his 100th goal for Darlington.
