Daley and Welsh lead the way for East

Primary School Girls

East 4 West 1

Evans Welch from St David’s Primary and Harrington Sounds’ Kalila Daley each scored twice to lead the East to a comfortable win in the Primary School girls’ game. BHS forward Olivia Younie scored the lone goal for the West. Daley was named MVP for the East with Luciana Fischer from Saltus winning for the West at North Field, National Sports Centre, yesterday.

Primary School Boys

East 4 West 3

The East were goal better than their opposition in the day’s most entertaining match.

Two-goal hero Samir Askia from St George’s Prep earned the MVP award in leading the East to a thrilling victory.

Malik Paynter from Northland’s and Iyvon Smith from East End Primary added a goal each for the victors.

Zayne Tavares from Dalton E Tucker scored twice for the West, with Mateus Amaral from Warwick Academy adding the other. The West MVP was Kalen Brunson from Heron Bay Primary.

Middle School Girls

East 1 West 1

(East win 3-0 on penalties)

Dellwood goalkeeper Dominique Brown made three penalty saves to secure victory for the East in the Middle School Girls’ game.

Warwick Academy’s Samara Darrell met a corner at the back post to give the West a 1-0 lead.

Dellwoods Katherine Bean-Rosario levelled the scores with a long-range effort.

Neither team could find the back of the net in the second half. Sandy’s defender Azra Shakir was named MVP for the West team along with Deazhe Hill from Dellwood of the East.

Middle School Boys

East 2 West 1

MVP Miguel Falcao scored twice to lead the East to victory in the Middle School Boys’ match.

The Whitney Institute student scored either side of half time. Zadon Simmons pulled one back for the West late in the match. The Sandy’s student was named MVP for the West.

Senior School Girls

East 0 West 0

(East won 4-3 on penalties)

Neither team managed to score in the Senior School Girls’ match. Emily Cabral from Saltus and Tayla Horan from Warwick academy were named MVPs.

Senior School Boys

West 1 East 1

West won 4-1 from penalties

Ajani Lee from Saltus Grammar School gave the East and early lead before Tre McCallan equalised for the West.

The Berkeley Institute student scored on the stroke of half-time. The match was to be decided by penalties after a scoreless second half. West MVP Kameron Harvey saved two penalties to give his team the victory. Rayquon Woodley-Smith from CedarBridge Academy was named East MVP.
