Bascome FC begin search for new squad

Bascome FC coach Andrew Bascome

FC Bascome Bermuda are holding a series of open trials, starting today, at Goose Gosling Field, ahead of the proposed USL League Two next year.

All players aged between 16, turning 17 by May 1 2021, and 25 as of today, are invited to register for one of three sessions taking place this evening from 6pm to 7.30pm, tomorrow from 9.30am to 11am and Sunday 9am to 10.30am.

The club were meant to open their campaign on May 9 at North Field, National Sports Centre, against Philadelphia Lone Star, the first of seven fixtures scheduled to take place on island, with a further seven away in the United States. However, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic they were forced to abandon plans to play in USL League Two until 2021.

Subject to further Covid-19 restrictions, the 2021 season is scheduled to commence early May 2021 and finish by mid July.

The USL League Two, formerly the Premier Development League, is the leader in pre-professional football in the US and Canada.
