The PHC Foundation held their annual Scholarship Awards Presentation at the National Sports Centre Pavilion.

The awards presentation commenced with a welcome and opening remarks from the Foundation President, Mark Simons. He gave an overview of the selection process and how the committee continued with their efforts to assist with further educational costs for deserving applicants who met the criteria.

Despite the impact of Covid-19 and the current financial climate, the Committee agreed to proceed with the awards without solicitation of donations from any of the normal Corporate sponsors.

The intent is to initiate this process in the near future. In view of this, only $25,000 was awarded, which is just over half of the amount that is generally awarded to scholarship recipients annually.

This year, seven young Zebras received awards to assist with studies at preparatory schools, colleges and universities. The recipients for this year’s awards were Cory Booth, Nazari Woods, Taznae Fubler, T’Syi Showers, DeAun Lodge, Dimitrius Richardson and Jayden Ebbin.
