Bumper weekend of action
The Bermuda Football Association has announced a host of fixtures making up a bumper weekend of league and cup action.
Saturday will kick off with the first of the FA Cup preliminary round fixtures as Tuff Dogs take on Flanagans Onions at Goose Gosling Field at 3pm. This will be followed by a rescheduled opening Premier Division fixture match with Dandy Town and X-Roads facing off at 9pm.
There is an even busier day of action on Sunday with nine matches in total including a further four FA Cup preliminary round ties as well as remaining four fixtures from the previously postponed first week of the Premier Division season.
In the cup, St David’s host Footy Kings at Bernard Park, Young Men’s Social Club face Wolves at Police Field, Hamilton Parish Workman’s Club take on Ireland Rangers at Southampton Oval and Boulevard square off against Vasco de Gama at Goose Gosling Field. The first three fixtures kick off at noon, with the latter game starting at 12.30pm.
Later in the day, the Premier Division takes centre stage once again with North Village taking on Devonshire Colts at Bernard Park, Devonshire Cougars hosting Somerset Eagles at Devonshire Rec, St George’s travelling to Southampton Rangers and Robin Hood facing Somerset Trojans at Goose Gosling Field. The first three encounters kick off at 3pm, with the latter starting at 5pm.
Meanwhile, the details of the Dudley Eve Trophy semi-final matches have been announced, with both taking place at the National Sports Centre on October 28. The first will pit Devonshire Cougars against Somerset Trojans at 7pm, followed by North Village and Dandy Town at 9pm.
