LeiLanni Nesbeth scored her second goal of the season for Florida State University on Sunday, netting the opener in the sixth minute as her team went on to beat Wake Forest University 4-0 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The second-ranked Florida State are now 4-0 for the season and have not conceded a goal so far. They came out attacking from the opening whistle and were rewarded with three first-half goals after Nesbeth, a sophomore, broke the deadlock when she fired across the Wake Forest goalkeeper and into the bottom left corner.

The Seminoles doubled their lead in the twelfth minute when junior Emily Madril scored from the penalty spot after Clara Robbins was pushed in the back inside the box.

Nine minutes later, junior Kristina Lynch made it 3-0 with her first goal of the season. After a quiet second half, Yujie Zhao closed out the scoring with the fourth goal in the 85th minute.

With 14 goals in the first four ACC games, Florida State have broken their previous record of 12 goals scored in the team’s first four conference games. Those 14 goals have been scored by eight different players, with Zhao leading the way with three and Nesbeth one of three on two goals.
