Bermudian pair Justin Donawa and Keziah Martin could potentially lock horns when their teams face off in the Vanarama National League North today.

Donawa’s Darlington will host Martin’s Kidderminster Harriers at Blackwell Meadows, where both teams will be keen to get a first league win under their belt.

“It will be a tough game against a Kidderminster team that’s still searching for their first win of the season,” Donawa told The Royal Gazette. “We’re also still searching for our first win in league play after a tough lost at AFC Fylde on Tuesday night, so I believe it will come down to who wants it more.

“Last year we had two close encounters with them, so we won’t expect anything less than that. It will be about who takes their chances.”

Donawa, the Bermuda forward, is going into the match in good shape both mentally and physically.

“I’ve felt good throughout preseason and the first two games thus far,” he said. “More importantly I’ve managed to stay healthy, which is something I wish to be all season.

“I feel confident and I’m looking forward to being an impact in every game I play.”

Darlington lost 1-0 away to highly fancied AFC Fylde while Kidderminster went down to a 2-1 at home to Chester, also on Tuesday.

Donawa came on after 15 minutes for the injured Adam Campbell, but could not inspire Darlington to victory while Martin was an unused substitute in Kidderminster’s defeat to Chester.

Meanwhile, other Bermuda players expected to see action in the Vanarama League today with their respective clubs are Dale Eve and Milan Butterfield.

Eve’s Spennymoor Town are away to Alfreton at Impact Arena while Butterfield’s Chesterfield will host Woking at Proact Stadium.

The Bermuda internationals were both in action on Tuesday.

Eve, the Bermuda goalkeeper, made a string of crucial saves in his team’s 2-1 victory at home to Farsley Celtic while midfielder Butterfield played the full match in Chesterfield’s 2-1 home defeat to Hartlepool United.
