Bristol City call off Brentford match after suspected Covid symptoms in squad

A suspected Covid-19 outbreak within Nahki Wells’s Bristol City squad has led to their league match tomorrow away to Brentford being postponed.
The Bristol City match against Brentford tomorrow has been postponed because of a suspected Covid-19 outbreak within the City squad
Bristol City made the announcement on their website today after consultation with the English Football League and Brentford.
The statement added: “Due to the New Year Bank Holiday closure of the testing laboratory, it has not been possible to arrange the testing of the entire squad and backroom staff ahead of tomorrow’s match at the Brentford Community Stadium.
“... the decision has been taken to postpone the game for the safety of players and staff of both clubs.”
A new date for the Sky Bet Championship fixture will be announced in due course.
