Justin Donawa scores as Solihull Moors make it five straight wins
Bermuda’s Justin Donawa came off the bench late in the second half to score the final goal for Solihull Moors in a 4-1 victory over Wealdstone on Saturday at Grosvenor Vale Stadium to continue their strong finish to their Vanarama National League season.
Donawa, a 74th-minute substitute, netted his fourth goal of the season in the 80th minute as Solihull picked up their fifth straight win to climb to eleventh in the standings, six points off a top-seven play-off spot but with only two games remaining.
Tyrone Williams opened the scoring for the visitors in the 21st minute before Alex Addai doubled the lead in the 30th minute to give Solihull a 2-0 lead at the half.
Jimmy Ball made it 3-0 in the 57th minute before Donawa made certain of another victory, tapping in from close range after Nathan Cameron headed back across goal. Wealdstone did pull a goal back three minutes from the end with a Jacob Mendy penalty.
Solihull play King’s Lynn Town away tomorrow night before hosting ninth-placed Eastleigh on Saturday in their final match of the season.
