Bermuda’s draw at Concacaf U20 Qualifiers
Bermuda have been drawn in group C of the Concacaf Men’s Under-20 Qualifiers where they will face Puerto Rico, St Vincent & the Grenadines, Barbados and Montserrat.
The draw for the qualifiers, which will be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from November 5 to 14, was held this afternoon at Concacaf headquarters in Miami, Florida.
The 19 teams participating in the qualifiers are ranked no higher than No 17 in Concacaf, and have been divided into three groups of five and one group of four.
Only the group winners will advance to the Concacaf Men’s Under-20 Championship next year, when the top 16 countries in the region will enter the fray.
The semi-finalists will qualify for the Men’s Under-20 World Cup in Indonesia in 2023, the winners and runners-up having the additional bonus of gaining passage to the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Further details on the 2022 Concacaf Men’s Under-20 Championship will be announced at a later date.
The qualifying tournament draw is as follows:
Group A: Curaçao, Grenada, Dominica, Sint Maarten, British Virgin Islands.
Group B: Dominican Republic, St Lucia, Belize, St Martin, Anguilla.
Group C: Bermuda, Puerto Rico, St Vincent & the Grenadines, Barbados, Montserrat.
Group D: Nicaragua, Guyana, Cayman Islands, US Virgin Islands.
