Bermuda improve position in Fifa world rankings
Bermuda’s men’s senior team have moved up one spot to 165th place in the latest Fifa world rankings.
Despite enduring a mixed past year for Kyle Lightbourne’s side, which saw the team bow out of both the Concacaf Gold Cup and World Cup qualification campaigns, and remaining on 982.43 points within the standings, Bermuda improved their position in the latest classification released last month.
The United States now find themselves top of the Concacaf region within the world rankings, sitting twelfth overall, ahead of Mexico, who dropped five places, falling out of the top ten, to now sit in fourteenth.
Canada, who round out the region’s top three places, were among the most improved nations, climbing eight spots to 40th place, their highest position in the rankings since 1996.
