Reggie Lambe and Willie Clemons on target in Stowmarket rout of Barking
Reggie Lambe and Willie Clemons both got on the score sheet as Stowmarket Town cruised to an emphatic 6-1 victory away at Barking in the Isthmian League North on Saturday.
It was Lambe who found the breakthrough after 13 minutes with a low strike, before Luke Brown doubled the visitors advantage eight minutes later, collecting the ball inside the area before firing home.
Clemons added a third in the 66th minute, beating the offside trap before keeping his composure to slot the ball past the Barking goalkeeper. Brown then added his second of the match, before Barking reduced the deficit through Darnell Goather-Braithwaite in the 78th minute.
However, it was to prove nothing more than a consolation, as substitute Josh Mayhew made it 5-1 just a minute later, with Joe Jefford wrapping up proceedings with the sixth goal in the 86th minute.
Kole Hall came on as a second half substitute as his Radcliffe Borough side advanced to the third round of the FA Trophy with a comfortable 5-1 victory over visiting Tamworth.
Radcliffe’s goals came courtesy of a brace from Bobby Grant and one apiece from Luca Navarro, Matthew Crothers and Kevin Spinelli, while Shaquille McDonald grabbed the visitors consolation. Tamworth’s Aaron John Forde was also dismissed with just three minutes remaining to compound a disappointing afternoon.
Keziah Martin and his Kidderminster Harriers team mates also sealed their progression in the FA Trophy after edging out Hereford 5-3 on penalties.
The match finished 1-1 in regulation time with Hereford’s Robert Mclean scoring in the 42nd minute to cancel out Amari Morgan-Smith’s 18th minute opener.
