Busy week ahead with rescheduled cup matches
Several Friendship and Shield matches that were called off over the past couple days have been rescheduled for next week as local football gets set for a busy final stretch.
Friendship and Shield quarter-final matches that were called off on Wednesday have been rescheduled for Tuesday at Goose Gosling Field on a night of cup matches at two venues.
The opening Shield match at 6.30pm will see Boulevard taking on Paget with Dandy Town playing St George’s in the Friendship fixture at 9.00pm. An FA Cup match is also scheduled for Devonshire Rec on Tuesday, with St David’s meeting Robin Hood at 8.00pm.
Going into today’s FA Cup quarter-final draw, two matches are still outstanding from the first round, the other being between Somerset Trojans and Hamilton Parish, the First Division leaders, which was postponed last night and has been rescheduled for next Wednesday at Somerset at 8.00pm.
