Parish clinch First Division title with win over Boulevard
Hamilton Parish will be returning to the Premier Division as champions, after Wednesday night’s 3-0 win over Boulevard confirmed that the unbeaten league leaders will remain in first place for the rest of the season.
After a scoreless first half at Goose Gosling Field, Parish broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute when Kneiko Richardson found the net.
Shayne Hollis doubled that lead five minutes later before Macquille Walker continued his recent good scoring form, with the third in the 69th minute.
Parish reached the 40-point mark with their thirteenth win in 14 matches, extending their lead over BAA to 10 points and now have 12 more than Boulevard who were denied the opportunity to reclaim second place in the standings.
All three teams have two matches remaining, with BAA and Boulevard set to meet in their final match on April 3 to decide the second promotion spot.
∎ The BFA have awarded Wolves the points from the First Division match between Paget and Wolves which was not played on March 12 when Paget failed to field a team. The match has been recorded as a forfeit by Paget with Wolves also getting a 3-0 result.
