Women’s team sets off for Dominican Republic clash on Friday
Bermuda’s national women’s team departed yesterday for Dominican Republic where they will play a crucial Concacaf W Qualifier against the group C leaders on Friday night at the Estadio Olympico Felix Sanchez, in Santa Domingo.
The 25 players include the bulk of the squad from the recent matches against Jamaica and Cayman Islands.
Eleven officials, led by head coach Naquita Robinson, are accompanying the team for the match which Bermuda, currently third, must win to have any chance of finishing first.
Bermuda have a win and a loss from their two matches against Jamaica and Cayman Islands. The winner of the group will advance to the Concacaf W Championships, with Bermuda playing their final group match next Tuesday at home against Grenada at 7pm.
Tickets for that match at the National Sports Centre are available at Ptix.bm. They will also be available at the BFA Office and Pro Shop.
