Donawa’s Solihull one game away from Football League

Justin Donawa

Justin Donawa and his Solihull Moors team-mates are 90 minutes away from a place in the English Football League after beating Chesterfield in the Vanarama National League play-off semi-final.

After falling behind to an early Joe Quigley opener, goals from Andrew Dallas, Alex Gudger and Callum Howe completed the turnaround to seal a 3-1 victory and book Moors’ place in the final at the London Stadium on Sunday June 5.

Moors will take on Grimsby Town in the final as both teams battle it out for a place in Sky Bet League Two next season. Grimsby overcame Wrexham in a dramatic 5-4 victory after extra time in the other semi-final.

Donawa, who has made 16 appearances in all competitions this season, has not featured for the club since December after suffering a fractured distal fibula in the 0-0 draw away to Eastleigh.
